Byou de Kakeibo Privacy Policy

Effective date: September 25, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Shosuke Sato ("we", "us") handles information in the iPhone and iPad app "秒で家計簿" (Byou de Kakeibo) (the "App"). If this English version and the Japanese version differ, the Japanese version prevails.

1. Summary

The App stores your household budget records on your device and, if you choose, in your own iCloud account.

2. Information stored on your device

The App stores the following information that you enter on your device:

This information is stored in a shared area on your device (an App Group) so the App and its Home Screen widget can both use it. The widget only reads and displays it on your device and does not send it anywhere.

If you updated from an earlier version, a copy of your earlier records may remain on your device as part of data migration. It is not sent anywhere either.

3. iCloud sync

iCloud sync works only if you purchase the iCloud sync subscription and turn sync on in the App's settings.

When sync is on, the following information is stored in the private database of Apple's CloudKit, which is part of your iCloud account:

This information is synced between your devices that use the same Apple Account. Data in the private database belongs to your Apple Account, and we cannot view or access it. Apple's Privacy Policy applies to data stored in iCloud.

Settings such as the theme, budget amount and first day of the month, as well as purchase status, are not synced. They are stored separately on each device.

Please note:

4. In-app purchases

The App sells "My Toolbox" as a one-time purchase and "iCloud Sync" as a monthly or yearly auto-renewable subscription.

Purchases, payments, and subscription management and cancellation are handled by Apple through the App Store. The App uses Apple's StoreKit to load product information, make purchases, restore purchases and check whether they are still valid.

We never receive your credit card number or other payment details. Apple's Privacy Policy applies to information about App Store purchases.

5. CSV export

When you choose "Export as CSV", the App creates a CSV file in a temporary area on your device and opens the iOS share sheet. The file contains your records: date, income/expense type, category, payment method, amount and memo.

You choose where to share the file, such as Mail, Files or another app. The App does not send the file automatically. After you share the file, the terms and privacy policy of the service you shared it with apply.

6. Sharing with third parties

We do not receive your budget records or settings, and we do not share them with third parties.

As described above, Apple's services handle information for iCloud sync and in-app purchases.

7. Diagnostics provided by Apple

The App does not include its own crash or usage analytics, or any third-party SDK for them, and the App itself does not send such information to us.

However, if you have agreed in your iPhone or iPad settings to share analytics with app developers, iOS may provide us, through Apple, with diagnostic information about crashes and performance of the App. Apple manages this sharing, and you can change it at any time in your device's settings. If we receive this information, we use it only to fix problems in the App.

8. How to delete your data

The App has no feature for deleting all data at once. We do not hold your data, so we cannot restore data that has been deleted.

9. Children

Whatever the user's age, the App has no feature that sends budget records or settings to us. Minors should use the App with a parent or guardian.

10. Changes to this policy

If we change the App's features or how it handles information, we will update this policy and post it on this page. For significant changes, we will also give notice in the App's update notes or similar.
